Nicola Casey

I began my music journey over ten years ago when I decided to sing some Scottish songs for the French students I was teaching at the time. Fast forward (quite a few!) years and I now regularly have gigs in Kent and attend as many open mic evenings as my work schedule allows!

 

My music style is acoustic indie. I perform covers as well as my own compositions. I have been compared in the past to the likes of Joni Mitchell, Natalie Imbruglia and even Stevie Nicks (which is high praise indeed, as these are some of my music idols!)

 

For me, singing and making music is therapy. The moment when I'm performing and I look in someone's eyes and see that a particular lyric or tune has made them feel something, I know that my job is done.
